WHAT IS NC PRE-K?
The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-old children. The NC Pre-K Program Requirements are built on the National Education Goals Panel’s premise that to be successful academically in school, children need to be prepared in all five of the developmental domains that are critical to children’s overall well-being and success in reading and math as they enter school:
Approaches to play and learning
Emotional and social development
Health and Physical Development
Language development and communication
Cognitive development
Kids' Korner Child Development Center, along with numerous other centers and schools, host NCPK classrooms. Kids' Korner's NCPK classroom operates from 8:00-2:30 and follows Kannapolis City School's calendar. We have passed out hard copies of the application to all families with children who will be 4 on or before August 31, 2021. Now the application process has also gone live online. You may choose either method. If you want to drop off your applications here you may, but please be aware that it must be completed in its entirety.
